This is a super easy appetizer or snack. I am using the puff pastry as my dough for this recipe. I am a big fan of puff pastry as I use it for both desserts like with Om Ali or for savory as with this recipe. You can substitue the meat and fill it with feta and mint or anything else you like. Hope you like it!
Ingredients
6 puff pastry squares
1.5 lb ground beef
1.5 tsp tomato paste
2 tbsp minced parsley
1 small minced red onion
1 tsp all spices
1/4 tsp paprika
salt and pepper
2 tbsp olive oil
1 egg
In a pan warm the olive oil, add the onions. Cook the onions until softened.
Add the ground beef, spices and tomato paste.
Cook until browned then add the parsley and mix for a minute then take off heat.
Get each puff pastry square and fill with the beef stuffing.
Fold over the puff pastry to form a rectangle.
Press to close.
With a knife cut a few parallel lines on the top of each pastry.
Beat the egg well, sprinkle a little bit of paprika.
Brush the top of each with the egg wash.
Bake at 375 degrees F. until golden color.
